Kai Trump will have plenty of prominent cheerleaders when she begins her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

The former president, an avid golfer, possesses multiple international courses and frequently plays against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she stated.

She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Just don't get nervous."

"He essentially advised me to play and relax," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's quite busy."

Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions this year and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

However she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with her mother.

"He is the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.

"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He told me to go out there, relax, following the flow."

The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Officials mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to new audiences, specifically with youth audiences.

The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
